- Develop an affordable livestock information interchange solution that creates wealth for the Australian livestock industry by recording all aspects of the animals cost, production, registration, performance and processing, providing access to multiple parties via the Internet and giving access to intelligent reports and decision making tools.

Resources
A number of servers (Cluster) in a secure server facility that services all the User requests sent to the Livestock Recording software. The cluster provides processing power, data storage, backups, speed and reliability that would cost an individual user hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase for them selves.
Experienced and qualified Personnel, who develop and upgrade the Livestock Recording software, provide support to users and maintain comprehensive backup systems.
A User Focus Group who reports to the company and MLA regarding the progress and quality of the features provided to users

Current Staff
Phil Wooster B.Rur.Sc.(Hons) - Director, Research & Development
Phil is an Honours Graduate in Rural Science, majoring in Genetics. He is the developer of the ground-breaking technology used by Livestock Recording Australia Limited.
Phil is also a director of Ebony Hills Pastoral Co Pty Ltd which operates a leading Angus stud, a successful beef brand and finishes yearlings at Tullimba feedlot. A pioneer in objective measurement and feed conversion testing, Ebony Hills operates at the cutting edge of the industry with information technology provided by Livestock Recording.
Prior to his involvement with Livestock Recording Phil was Manager Saltbush Software, a subsidiary company of the Agricultural Business Research Institute Inc.
In addition to his extensive practical livestock experience Phil has skills in installing, maintaining, operating and supporting IBM compatible hardware and software, experience in documenting business requirements and developing, installing and maintaining software solutions as well as experience in using the Magic software development tool, BTrieve and Pervasive, SQL databases, QSI Internet credit card payment system and Seagate Crystal Reports on Windows systems.
Michelle Wooster B.Sc.(Hons), Ph.D. - Business Manager
Michelle is an Honours Graduate in Science who completed a Ph.D. in livestock health (parasitology) with CSIRO. Michelle also holds Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. Michelle has set up and managed a veterinary diagnostic laboratory and worked as a research scientist with Veterinary Health research Pty Ltd and managed a stud cattle breeding and steer finishing enterprise for Ebony Hills Pastoral Co. Pty Ltd.
Michelle has extensive experience in business management, resource management, marketing, development of procedures, the use of livestock management software and the Web programming language HTML.
Felix Burkhard B.Sc.(Computing) - Systems Administrator
Felix is a Bachelor of Science (Computing) from Ingenieurschule Bern (Switzerland). He has twenty years experience in the Information Technology industry, mostly involved with sophisticated applications built for Windows workstations.
He has wide experience in different applications, both commercial and technical, and extensive experience in all phases of software development, specifically analysis, design and implementation of software systems.
In recent years Felix has gained extensive knowledge of Web client / Internet server applications and has been involved in development and management of SQL databases.
Kumar Vejendla - Analyst Programmer
Kumar is a graduate in engineering. He has wide experience as a software engineer and has been in this industry from 1998.He has experience of working in India, Nigeria and Australia.He has worked for MNCs like Chevron and Shell using various development tools like Magic 8.3,Magic eDeveloper,DHTML,Java Script,Btrieve,MS SQL,Pervasive SQL2000. His expertise covers Human Resources/Payroll ,CRM and various ERP applications.
Owen Wigg - Programmer
Owen is an undergraduate student in Computing Science at the University of New England in Armidale, NSW Australia. He has 3 years experience in the Information Technology industry and is experienced with Visual Basic, C++, Javascript, Java, HTML, MySQL, PHP, Windows and Unix operating systems. Owen has worked in a variety of different IT streams and brings to LR his skills in Web Development, Software Design, System Administration and Technical Consulting.
Ilan Gross - IT Consultant
Ilan is highly experienced and skilled in Internet communications, marketing and management.
He is closely involved in monitoring design of the technical infrastructure, evaluation of technology for software development purposes, construction and execution of a marketing strategy, and maintaining investor relationships and strategic alliances.
He is also involved with Astron Communications Pty Ltd, a hybrid telco-internet application provider company that specializes in internet applications for managing telecommunications for large enterprises. He is the founder of the solution, Director of IT and R&D and is the instigator of the marketing strategy.
The combination of a highly complex product and large enterprise customers requires a highly sophisticated sales approach demanding specialized sales skills, in particular value sales. Ilan is responsible for the assembly of sales training methodology and training.
Astron is a newly founded company (Feb 2000) that is now successfully in production. The solution is Internet based which allows the customer to manage their complex telecommunications requirements over the internet (identical technology deployment to that used by Livestock Recording Australia).

During this time Ilan developed significant multi-layered distribution channels/resellers throughout this region. The company increased and maintained its business base over a period of 8 years, with clients including Divergent Technology, Trilogy and Optimation New Zealand.
